I was browsing Nomopoly II and found a really neat idea in a proposal, so after taking out all the stuff that would screw this game up horribly, here's what I've got:
New item:
Name: Bingo Card
Tradeable.
Cannot be used.
A Bingo Card consists of a 5x5 grid of numbers. The first column contains numbers between 1 and 15, the second column contains numbers between 16 and 30, the third column contains numbers between 31 and 45, the fourth column contains numbers between 46 and 60, and the fifth column contains numbers between 61 and 75. When a Bingo Card is created, the numbers on the card will be randomly selected from numbers of squares that exist on the board and are valid for the respective columns, and a column may not contain duplicate numbers unless there are less than 5 numbers of existing squares that are valid for that column.
Whenever a player lands on a square, the number of that square will be marked off on all Bingo Cards that player owns.
When a Game of Bingo starts, the Admin will announce the following:
- A winning combination (such as a diagonal line, four corners, full house, etc.)
- A prize (which may consist of money, items, or any other gift/ability/whatever that the Admin feels like giving away)
When a Game of Bingo starts, each player receives 1 Bingo Card. Players may purchase additional Bingo Cards at stores for $100.
A player who owns a Bingo Card whose marked off squares meet the requirements of the current winning combination may yell out "BINGO!" and immediately claim the current prize. The current game of Bingo ends, all players lose their Bingo Cards, and the Admin will begin a new game of Bingo at a convenient time for him.
To get things started, the first game of Bingo will be as follows:
- Winning combination: A line of 5 (either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally)
- Prize: $1000
All future bingo games will be selected by the Admin
This should add more strategic options to the game, and also make the game a bit crazier. Good idea or not?
