The ruleset is already messed up. If a proposal adds anything to the game, and isn't broken right off the bat, it pretty much gets rubber-stamped.
Take the "Add 36 squares to each board" proposal, for instance. Did anyone consider that at the time we had a huge board already and by adding more it made interaction rare and competition for space stifle? It used to be we had Ax duels all the time. Now it's rare to even have one.
I'll even admit that some of my own proposals are that bad. The Ovens were an attempt to find the secret word, and other than that they didn't really add anything to the game.
Oh well, it's sort of like a alcoholic thinking that drinking all that beer just might not have been quite a good idea as it seemed, long after his liver is damaged beyond repair. But at least we aren't ending this because it went on far too long and just giving The Founder the victory. I've already poured my gallon of gasoline onto the fire. Let the rampage begin!
