By "too long" I mean too long for what it was. Playing a long but very enjoyable board game for several hours is a reasonable idea. Playing Tic-Tac-Toe for the same amount of time is not. And getting knocked around by the Founder got old rather quick.
Of course, there were even more troubles then just that. To maximize the effect of your units, you had to login all the time, meaning that the more causal player had small amounts of territory And at the beginning, the Founder went and took over a large amount of territory. As there was little to protect players with less territory from having their territory taken over, soon it became somewhat pointless to login after a while.
