Yep. It certainly would.
It would allow us to add our "fixes" as additional proposals with shorter timeframes, without resetting the original time to vote.
For example, let's say proposal #998 has a bug, and has 3 days left to vote. I could make proposal #999, with a 2-day vote window, and have it say something like:
"If Proposal #998 passes, then the following rule changes shall be made..."
That way, proposal #999 can contain only the "fix", and be contingent upon the passage of the broken version. The "fix" is likely to be very non-controversial, and likely to be accepted, despite the penalty given to shorter vote periods.
Plus, I'm probably not the only one who keeps coming up with ideas and wishing I didn't have to wait until my existing votes were finished before proposing them....
