I'm surprised nobody noticed this sooner:
The "current direction of travel" for anyone is defined to mean the direction they travelled most recently in order to arrive in their current square (left-to-right, top-to-bottom, etc.). Note: only the most recent movement direction matters: if they arrive in square 7 by travelling forward, their current direction of travel is bottom-to-top, regardless of their starting square.
Is "the direction they travelled most recently in order to arrive in their current square" even defined in the following cases?
- A player goes from Square #36 to Square #1
- A player goes from Square #1 to Square #36
- A player uses Planar Shift/Shove or a Warp Bubble to jump to the sibling of his current square
- A player uses a Jetpack to jump to any square of his choice
I think we should agree not to use paint thinner until this is fixed!
