My two cents...
- Carpentry: Neat, although we probably won't have enough logs to do very much. Which I guess is a good thing since having too many logs would essentially make logs worthless.
- Stock market: Also neat, although I'd limit the amount of stock players can buy within a set time (since otherwise the lucky player who gets to the stock market first could possibly buy out all available shares of a single investible, and that would be unfair)
- Public works: Be careful when defining the yet-to-be-written ways to generate litter, since players could potentially create tons of litter themselves, clean it up, and rake in cash. Perhaps have a small "littering fine" for doing something that generates litter?
- You Bet Your Life: LOL! Kinda reminds me of "Pee Wee's Playhouse". This idea is both silly and cool in its own way, so I'd probably be all for it.
Also, we had a proposal (#33) to provide a money source, and it got rejected for some reason. And while I'm at it, I can insert a plug here for Proposal #35, which will create a money sink and actually give a small possiblity for players to become bankrupt (which will of course give money somewhat of a value).
And here are some of my proposal ideas, feel free to complain about them or steal them if you have no proposals to post and want a possible free warp bubble:
- Once per turn, a player may choose to walk to the predecessor or successor of his current square.
Definition of "walk": When a player walks to a square, he simply ends up on that square without triggering the effects of leaving, passing, or landing on any squares.
(Players currently have very little control over where they can be on the board, thereby making chopping down trees and shopping at stores nearly impossible. With this proposal players will be able to fine-tune their location a little, without leaving room for abuse.)
- New item:
Name: Seed
Effect upon use: The seed is placed on the player's current square. In 2 days, the seed disappears and a tree grows on that square.
A seed can be purchased at a Store for $150
(A handy way to create some more trees if we over-chop)
- Green is now a possible color for a square (and thus green paint can now be purchased). Whenever a player lands on a green square, all players in who are on the same vertical column of the board as that green square (including the player who landed there) will evenly split $600.
(A much needed money source, giving players the choice between moving forward on the board, or staying in a particular column in the hopes that they get money)
